Halloween is only a mere 17 days away and if you are like myself, you don’t
have the slightest idea of what you are going to be. With money being tighter
this year, I set out to fine some cheap affordable halloween costumes that can
be purchased online, and also to come up with a few cheap homemade costumes.

Borat – this costume is definitely not for everyone, however if you are
trying to draw some attention and get some laughs, I don’t know of anything
better.  At $16.99 this costume is a complete steal for a retail costume.

Adult Penguin Costume – This is a really cute costume that will get
smiles from everyone everywhere you go.  It is also a really good price
considering how large the actual costume is at only  $29.99.

Adult Banana Costume – I don’t really know what it is with all the
jumping and singing banana’s I see all over the internet, but it definitely
makes me think that this costume would make you hit come Halloween time. 
Its a very innocent funny costume that everyone could appreciate in any setting. 
It is still a very good deal at only $34.99.

German Beer Garden Girl - This costume is a bit pricier at $45.25,
however this is about the sexiest girl costume I can think of.  If you are
going to an adult themed costume party, or simply trying to make an ex jealous,
this costume is for you!

Homemade Halloween Costume Ideas:

Those are some fairly cheap retail costumes that can be purchased, however not
everyone wants to buy a costume. Whether you are trying to save a bit extra, or
you are planning on showcasing your creativity some of the best costumes are
always home made! Here are a few examples to get your creativity flowing.

A Baby – baby costumes are always popular with the ladies no matter how long or
old. My favorite part about baby costumes is the extreme amount of leeway for
your own creative twists, however the basics are very easy to come up with. You
will want to wear your favorite pajama’s, braid your hair, put a little bit of
makeup on your cheeks to make them rosy, and lastly find a pacifier. If you ask
me the candy pacifiers are the best. You can also find a stuffed animal or doll
to carry around with you.

A Scarecrow – This is another easy costume to fashion out of items in your
closet. You will want to put on an old pair of jeans, find your favorite flannel
shirt, and put on your work boots. You can also make a quick stop to your dollar
store and find a straw hat to add to it. I also like to get some straw, which
can be shoved into your sleeves, boots, around your neck, and under your hat.
This tends to get a bit itchy at times so I always wear a tight fitting shirt
underneath the flannel. Lastly you can paint your face like the scarecrow to
finish it off!
