AMC’s Breaking Bad with Bryan Cranston Is A Must Watch

I’m sure many of you have seen the epic AMC series “Breaking Bad” but if you haven’t, this post will serve as a reminder to stop whatever you are doing, and start watching it now.

Next month, Breaking Bad returns for its fourth season after a ball-grabbing season three finale.  The series is centered around a formerly straight edge high school science teacher in New Mexico who discovers he has terminal lung cancer despite the fact that he hasn’t smoked a cigarette in his life.    With a typically low high school teacher salary, a partially disabled son and a pregnant wife, Walt fears not for his own demise, but for his families well being.

After a series of events, Walt ends up cooking Meth along with a former student of his, and from there it just gets more and more intense.

The sucess of this program is not just from the fantastic acting, direction, and action, but from the writing standpoint.  Unlike the dumb “24″ type action TV series where every 2 minutes there is a monumental explosion of buildings, ak47′s and sniper rifles, Breaking Bad makes you earn your keep.   The story line is believable and the action sequences come at a very appropriate time.  These sequences are much more intense when you have to earn them and when they aren’t happening every 5 minutes.

It is no wonder that the show and the actors have won multiple Emmy’s.
It’s worth the watch, I promise.
